James and Lauren live an old fashioned life style at CRF, breaking and training horses, as well as, teaching riding lessons and guided trail rides to all ages. At the young age of 13,  James began his love for training.  While using a quiet and gentle method for each horse, he forms a bond that will elevate the training and create a strong foundation between horse and rider.  With a great foundation underway a horse becomes an all-purpose utility to your farm and great addition to the pastures. Over the years while working with varieties of breeds and temperaments,  James has come across many troubled horses, which in turn, with his knowledge, he is able to transform any horse into a well-rounded, mentality-tough riding companion. Lauren has been riding horses for over 20 years from barrel racing to trail riding, which together, she and James combine their styles of teaching and training, enhancing each other to increase the overall experience of the horse and rider.  Lauren began teaching lessons at age 15 and has had many students become successful horseback riders.  With a Bachelor's Degree in Family and Consumer Science and Child and Family Studies, Lauren combines her love of teaching with her knowledge of horses offering horseback riding lessons for ages 5 and up.  Lauren participated in her local 4-H horse club beginning at age 9 and has volunteered helping children at 4-H events & camps in learning the basics of riding.   She discovered a love for barrel racing which led her to Jr. Rodeo & continued with KY High School Rodeo and on into Professional Rodeos.  She rode in many Kentucky State 4-H events and has traveled through the mid-west region pursuing her love of riding. Lauren is a dedicated individual who has a love for both horses and children believing every child should be able to feel the love of a horse.
